A Brief History of the website

2014 - In May 2014 the site was re-themed using modern web display technologies (i.e. Bootstrap, CSS3) to modernize and improve it's appearance and usability on any platform including mobile devices. We have dropped support for obsolete browser versions (I.E. < 9) in order to better optimize the speed and compatibility with modern devices and browsers.

2012 - In October 2012 the site was redeveloped using modern web technologies (e.g. HTML5, CSS3) and current best design practices (e.g. responsive, mobile-first). Although the general appearance did not change, our website is now usable from nearly any modern mobile device (e.g. smartphone, tablet).

2009 - In January 2009 the site was refreshed with a completely new look and coding modernizations. The new site now features a more graphically appealing look, and larger font sizes.

2006 - The website was redeveloped from the ground up in March 2006 with the goals of making it easier to find information quickly and to update it's behind-the-scenes programming to meet modern web design standards. In addition, the site was moved from it's old address (long and hard to remember) to its new address to bring it within SCDNR's new domain name.

2001 - Initial website launch.
